Staff

Barbie has more than ten years of experience in human services. She has worked with youth in residential treatment, adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities, and now enjoys working with clients with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. She received her Master's in Social Work from George Williams College, of Aurora University, in the spring of 2017. Despite working full time and single motherhood, she graduated with honors. She has been with Koinonia since July of that year.

Barbie is a mother of two, and enjoys being outdoors or playing piano and singing in her free time. She also loves to travel, especially when she gets to practice her Spanish.
